While you can't create playlists directly on the device, you can use iTunes to create them and then upload them to your device. You can also set your device to play songs in order by flipping to the middle, to the left to play songs randomly, and to the right to turn it off. It's very easy to use. Its tiny size also makes it incredibly easy to carry with you.

There are a few minor drawbacks. Obviously, the lack of a screen makes it difficult to choose the songs you want to hear at a given time. There is no equalizer, so you can't adjust how your music sounds on the device. And there is no hold fuction built in. However, for the cost, this model is excellent.
