Asus Eee PC Seashell 1005-PE-MU27-BK Netbook

The Asus Eee PC was one of the first true netbooks, and its popularity has remained strong ever since its initial release. Its small size makes it extremely easy to transport, and it is a solid computer for browsing the web, using business applications, sending email, and even playing some games.

This model comes with 1 GB of DDR2 RAM, expandable to 2 GB. It has a 250 GB SATA hard drive, so there's plenty of room to store files and install applications. The 10.1 inch display is large enough for most applications, although it may feel fairly small if you don't have good vision. The battery life is phenomenal, lasting up to 11 hours!

Most people really love this computer. The only real problem most people have is that Asus doesn't have the best support department. If you're fairly tech savvy, this probably won't be an issue, but if you think you will need support, you may want to choose another brand.

Samsung NF310-A01 10.1 Inch Netbook in Titan Silver

Samsung really upped the ante with this computer, which has a processor that is up to 50% faster than comparable computers from other companies. This means applications and games run faster and work better.

Additionally, video playback and graphics performance is better on this computer than most netbooks, due in large part to the dual-core processor. The display is a comfortable 10.1 inches, and it is backlit, making for brighter colors and better graphics.

This netbook has very good reviews, but a few people feel that the buttons on the touchpad are very small and hard to press. You can alleviate this by using a USB mouse, which many people prefer to a touchpad, anyway.
